Softwashing Information Details Page by iNEX
Softwashing - what is it?
Softwashing is not a ‘new’ thing; it has been in use for many years, but it is now becoming more widely accepted and used for private individuals and their homes. Problems arise when information about softwashing methods and chemicals are not fully understood.
The process uses mild, environmentally responsible products that help to break down dirt and bio-films (think algae, lichen, moss etc.) as opposed to pressure washers, with high power and flow rates, that blast most dirt away.
iNEX have undertaken training to be become PureSeal UK Approved Applicators (PureSeal’s industry leading training courses are recognised and certified by NEBOSH, COPD and City & Guilds) and Certified Softwash Technicians as well as additional Biocidal Training Certification.
With the use and application of biocidal products, and other softwash chemicals, it is a legal reqirement that the correct product be used in line with HSE legislation (including the necessary assessments for COSHH, RAMS and Method Statements). In addition, site assessment is required to ensure there is no run off or spoiling of natural habitats.
We have invested in the best equipment for safe dosing and application of cleaning products, such as Dosatron dosing units, x-jet applicators, large droplet cone application nozzles and foaming nozzles for efficient, effective softwash cleaning.
The end result is cleaner, with less water use, less spray, less mess and none of the potential damage from the pressure washer. Additionally, the products used provide residual cleaning over time that improves the overall result and lasts longer.
